People and Training
There is a strong connection between the extensive training that all staff undertake throughout their time at the Company and the number of long-serving staff at Bluemay Weston, several with, or approaching, 20 years service.
Training ensures that skills are retained and built on, giving better service to you, the customer, as well as offering job progression to team members during their career with the Company. We have employees who joined the Company as Press Operators and, through training and application, have moved on to different roles with more responsibility. They have retained their appreciation and knowledge of the production processes to the benefit of their new responsibilities.
Our training plans provide a positive welcome to new staff and ensure the best is made of new equipment, materials and processes. All plans are tailored to the needs of each individual with Health and Safety being given highest priority, especially in the production areas.
Training and staff continuity also lend themselves to continuous improvement. The team at Bluemay Weston is always looking for better methods and processes and is well placed to deal with customer requests for new production techniques. It is an approach common to sister businesses Bluemay Limited and Bluemay Multicap, meaning customers are assured of the the same welcome and support. Bluemay Limited won National Training Awards in 1987 and 1996.
